Recalling the Word “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit…will remind you of everything I have said to you”
Four Good Reasons we Need the Word Recalled: 1. Christian Living – To have a victorious walk with Christ, we must receive His Word in our daily lives until it influences our thinking, feeling, and decision making. The Word of the Lord is to shape our response to all people and circumstances. We can’t afford to live at home or leave home without it. 2. Mind Renewal – Paul speaks of “being renewed in the spirit of our minds” (Ephesians 4:23). The Word washes over our old thinking, negative attitudes, and fearful outlooks. It cleanses us and gives us a fresh start to every day. His Word provides a daily healing. 3. Spiritual Conversation – The Word recalled helps guide our dialogue together. We can move beyond superficial, small talk and experience the spiritual direction of God’s Word. There need to be more conversations that start with the question, “What does God’s Word say about this?” His Revelation can become our revelation! 4. Witnessing – His Word can flow through us to others needing truth, encouragement, and comfort. The Holy Spirit can provide opportunities to sensitively share God’s timely word with those around us, both believers and unbelievers. The Holy Spirit REMINDS us and helps us REMEMBER the WORD! The Spirit helps us recall the right Word at the right Time! Jesus’ power over temptation in the wilderness was partly due to His ability to recall an appropriate Word of God for every given temptation. Truly we are called to “live by every Word that comes from the mouth of God”

CLICK HERE... Kids Musical Rehearsal All musical participants who have speaking parts will meet on April 17 from 10 - 12 for a rehearsal. Please make plans to be present and have all lines memorized. Reward Surprise Gracie VanLiere, Kate VanLiere, Stephen Carter, Brady Carter, Connor Carter, Eli Carter, Spencer Tomsett, Gianna McGregor, Bethanne Heineman and Kathryn Carter all successfully memorized the Lord's Prayer and will be treated to a surprise reward following musical practice on April 17 until 3:00 p.m. Please plan to pick up your child(ren) at the church at 3:00, One parent will be needed to drive. If you would volunteer to help in this manner, please contact Pastor Anita. New Children's Outreach The Children's Ministry will begin a new outreach ministry at the Williamson Medical Center ICU Waiting Room soon. We will be placing snacks in the waiting room for the family members of those who are hospitalized in the ICU. We are asking that each child bring a box of snacks (individually wrapped) each week as their offering - Little Debbies, Snack Crackers, Nuts, Cookies etc. Each package will be identified as a gift from The Orchard Church Children's Ministry. Children, let's reach out to those in need.
