Men's Fraternity will meet on Saturday, November 7 from 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. Make plans to attend.

Sunday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m Pastor Chris will be leading worship at Belvedere Commons (an assisted living for the memory impaired.) We need singers, huggers and persons who will pray for the residents. Make plans to join in this time of worship.

The Annual Orchard Fall Fest Bonfire is scheduled for Friday, November 13th @ 5:00 pm weather permitting. Invite friends and neighbors to this fun event! We ask each family to bring one package of hotdogs and hotdog buns and a side dish of your choice. The church will provide relishes, chili, paper products, hot chocolate, cider and s'mores fixins. Also, bring sticks to roast the hot dogs if you have them (we'll have a few on hand) and blankets or chairs. Looking forward to a fun evening of great food and fellowship around the fire!

Our annual Thanksgiving feast will be on November 15 immediately following worship. Sign up Sunday to bring your favorite Thanksgiving dish.

Our children's ministry will begin this Sunday, November 8 a "Change for A Change" project to buy mosquito nets to help prevent malaria in Africa. Each mosquito net costs $10. Imagine that only $10 could save a life. Each Sunday from now until the end of the year our children will be at the doors each Sunday as church is dismissed to collect your "pocket change" to help "change" the life of a child in Africa (of course, we will not turn down the green folding money if that's what you want to give!) Thank you in advance for your "Change for A Change."

The church plans to have a float in the Christmas Parade again this year. If you would be willing to be the point person for this project or if you would like to serve on the float construction team, please contact Pastor Anita.

Our Acts 2:42 study on Ephesians is winding down with only 4 more sessions to go. What a great study that has been...we had 43 in attendance last week. Don't miss the remainder and don't forget if you don't miss more than one Sunday there will be a prize. See you Sunday.

Mark your calendars: The Manger (Graceworks Christmas ministry to Williamson Co residents) will again be stationed here at The Orchard Ministry Center. They have asked our entire church family to serve on December 10. Your Christmas will not be the same after you have served in this manner. Don't miss it.

The Ladies Prayer Group meets Wednesday at 9:15 a.m and the Men's Prayer Group meets Thursday at 6:30 a.m. at The Orchard Ministry Center.

FRESH FAITH

“I am about to rain bread from heaven
for you…gather a day’s portion every day"
~ Exodus 16:4 ~

“Fresh.” What a wonderful word. We enjoy all things fresh.

  • Fresh flowers full of inspired fragrance and lively color,
  • Fresh fruits and vegetables packed with vitamin power and mouth watering taste,
  • Fresh bread that sends our senses soaring – yum!

To experience “fresh” is to come face to face with a generous Father who works to make all things spanking new. He grants us fresh flowers, fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh bread and even fresh faith.

There are times when our faith feels more leftover than fresh, more dead than alive. But God wants to imbibe staleness and stagnancy with an infusion of freshness. Just as He rained down sweet bread from heaven daily, He invites us to gather a fresh portion of faith every day.

Fresh faith is a confident trust and reliance on Him as our all powerful and all caring Father “to work in” us and “to work out” every circumstance for our good and for His glory. No matter what the circumstance, we can be settled and fulfilled in this reality!

In a town stricken with drought that lingered for months, a church called a desperate prayer meeting for rain. People prayed and prayed, hoped and hoped, but only one little girl brought her umbrella. She had fresh faith.

For More Fresh Faith Followers,

Pastor Chris
