Don't miss Acts 2:42 this Sunday as we evaluate the "State of the Church" and hear vision for the church into the Fall. We will start promptly at 9:30 so please come for the 9:15 fellowship time before we begin.

July 5 we will have our next First Sunday Potluck immediately after worship. Please make plans to bring your favorite sandwiches, salads or desserts to share and enjoy the fellowship.

The entire church family is invited to join in a night of fun and fellowship as we go to Faith Night at the Nashville Sounds game on July 31. The cost is $10 which includes a hot dog, drink, ballgame, concert by Stephanie Smith and fireworks. 20 tickets have been purchased and will be sold on a first come, first served basis. If you and your family would like to participate see Pastor Anita for tickets

Each summer we have a time of "Crossover" for our rising 6th graders in which they can begin participating in youth activities as well as continuing to participate in the Children's Ministry activities for the summer. All rising 6th graders are invited to go to youth on Wednesday from 6:30 - 8:30 and you may choose to participate in the children's class or the youth class on Sunday mornings. Welcome to youth!!

The Ladies Prayer Group meets Wednesday at 9:15 a.m and the Men's Prayer Group meets Thursday at 6:30 a.m. at The Orchard Ministry Center.

REST

Hidden within 1 Kings 18 is two different approaches to work. There is a great contrast between the frenzied efforts of Baal’s prophets to get some action vs. the steady confidence of Elijah in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel. How are you doing the work God has called you to right now? Some days I must confess that my work is too frantic and frenzied. How about you? God is inviting us to come to Him for rest so that our work can look different.

Remind yourself God is at work
Enjoy the nearness of God
Stay focused on God’s glory
Train yourself to listen when all is quiet

Our Lord wants us to work and serve from a place of rest and not cardiac arrest. As you walk this week out, ask Him to help you lie down in green pastures and to lead you beside quiet waters. This is doing the Lord’s work in the Lord’s way!
